After many years of showing Arabian Derivatives, Australian Stockhorses and ANSA registered horses, Celadon Show Horses was formed in the year 2000 when we commenced breeding our own horses with the goal of producing horses that exhibited the best aspects of all of these three breed registrations.
Located in the Hunter Valley NSW, we are a small boutique stud producing only limited foals of the highest quality. We are very selective in the choice of stallions and have a strong preference to produce the ever popular black progeny!
With our foundation mare A. Evita, Australian Champion Part Arabian Mare and Sydney Royal winner herself, we commenced our breeding plan by sending A.Evita to the successful ASH sire Montcalm Luke (dec) owned by Silverthorn Stockhorses, resulting in our first foal, Celadon Evangeline.
The stallions of choice since, have been dual registered black ASH/ANSA horses and we have had great success with these combinations. We are extremely pleased with our progeny to date, C.Elusive, C.Alibi, C.Evidence, C.Arbitrator, and most recently C.Exclusive and C.Addiction, all but one of whom carry the Palmers Fort Abdul lines, so we will continue to use this type and line of stallion.
With the most recent successes of Celadon Alibi, Celadon Evidence and Celadon Arbitrator in Arabian Derivative, Australian Stockhorse and ANSA classes at many shows including Sydney Royal, National Arabian Stud Horse Show, National Stockhorse Championships, Canberra, Brisbane and Melbourne Royals it is exciting and rewarding to see that our plan to produce champion top quality showhorses who could hold their own in all three breed rings has come to fruition.
